Mille Knots specializes in authentic, handmade Turkish rugs — sourced directly from the artisan workshops of Turkey, the home of the world's finest weaving. Every rug we offer is hand-knotted using the traditional Turkish double-knot, the technique behind the strength, density and generations-long life that have made Turkish rugs the most coveted on earth.
Two threads, not one. That single difference — the Turkish Gördes double-knot — is why these rugs are counted among the finest and longest-lasting in the world.
We exist to bring them to you the way they were meant to be chosen. We work directly with the workshops, choosing pieces by hand and matching them to the people who will live with them. Our name says it plainly: a thousand knots, one rug, chosen with care.
This is not e-commerce. There is no cart. You request a consultation, we understand what you're looking for, and then we source the right piece at the right moment. It takes a little longer. The result is something that will outlast every other thing in your home.
Trained in the Turkish weaving tradition — our sources learn the craft through formally recognised programmes.

Every piece we place comes with its full story.
The weaver's name. The workshop village. The dye sources and pile material. The approximate date of completion. A rug without provenance is just decoration. A rug with provenance is an object of culture — something you can hand to the next generation with a full account of how it came to exist.
Deep inventory.
A curated few.
Behind every consultation sits a vault of hundreds of hand-knotted Turkish rugs — the breadth to match almost any size, palette or style. We don't ask you to wade through it. We do the curation, and bring you only the handful of pieces worth your time.
Authentic Provenance
Sourced directly from the artisans who tie every knot — real origin, no middlemen.
Handmade Craftsmanship
Hand-knotted with the Turkish double-knot, the way it has been done for centuries.
Heirloom Quality
Denser, stronger, longer-lasting — rugs made to be passed down, not replaced.
Naturally Dyed
Coloured only with natural plant dyes — no harsh chemicals, and gentle to care for.
Every rug supports the artisans who made it
Our weavers are not anonymous labour. They work directly with us, knotting each rug by hand, and they share in the proceeds of every piece they create. When you bring one home, you sustain a craftsperson's livelihood, support their family, and help keep a centuries-old tradition alive for the next generation.
