All rugs are professionally cleaned and packaged at source before shipping. We work with specialist art-freight partners for international delivery. Detailed shipping information is provided at the time of purchase — please enquire for specifics relevant to your location.

Care Guide

A hand-knotted rug, properly cared for, will outlast every other object in your home. The principles are simple:

• ·Vacuum in the direction of the pile — never against it.
• ·Rotate annually if placed in a high-traffic area.
• ·Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — never rub.
• ·Professional cleaning every 3–5 years, using a specialist in handwoven textiles.
• ·Avoid prolonged direct sunlight on silk pile.
• ·Use a quality rug pad to prevent slipping and protect the foundation.

Authentication

Every rug sourced through Mille Knots is accompanied by documentation of its provenance — including the workshop, materials, and approximate date of completion. We do not sell reproductions or machine-made pieces. Questions about authentication are welcome and encouraged.
